God I hope so. I have visions of kids seeing this and, well, not doing too well in the future.

Glad it is faked. It gave me flashbacks to college when my one roommate’s friend from HS visited and in response to my other roommate saying that the roomie she was visiting had black (just meaning the color) hair, said “normal people don’t have black hair!” I got up immediately with my black self and said I was going out and didn’t ask if anyone wanted to come or say anything else. I was hot and that was from before I was really racially aware!!!! Damn!

  • I’ve always hated hearing “I treat everyone the same, whether they’re black, brown, white or purple.” It’s the purple, or green or red or orange that gets to me. I’m sure I have a more well-reasoned argument against it, but I’m still sleepy.
