Also, if marijuana is so harmful, why does U.S.A. Swimming not test swimmers for smoking pot when they’re not in training? And I certainly hope people like George Vecsey, who wrote that Phelps should have been punished by Kellogg and the committee because “the stuff is bad for important functions like reasoning, and can lead to worse abuses” is prepared to call for the outright ban of beer sales at (and ads during)  sporting events.
