This is too all my fellow Californians out there: please, please vote NO on Prop 8. As a wise person once said: “If you are against gay marriages then don’t have one!”

Didn’t Obama come out against the measure? What is wrong with the voters of CA deciding what they want, they already voted gay marriage down once before?

scott: Obama’s stance on Prop. 8 is so mealy-mouthed it’s hard to make sense of.

That said, I’m not sure that Cali’s referendum system gives the public carte blanche when it comes to measures that violate civil rights —- which is why the previous legislation got shot down by the state courts. If Prop. 8 passes, it will probably face another round of legal challenges.

I’m hoping it doesn’t come to that.
