Tyler Perry’s Tyler Perry Film Franchise Steamroller is chugging right along with the announcement that his latest adaptation slated for production will be Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail. This will, of course, follow The Family That Preys and A Jazz Man’s Blues, the two films he’s probably halfway finished shooting (despite his IMDB page saying he’s “filming” one and has the other in pre-production. We know how he rolls. Expect both of those to drop before this time next year…).
Anyway, EW reports that Keshia Knight Pulliam (aka Rudith Lillian Huxtable) is slated to appear as Candy, a prostitute Madea meets during her stint in the titular jail and protects from another inmate named “Big Sal.” No word on who’s gonna play Big Sal.
Derek Luke is also attached to play a lawyer who has a “past” with Candy. Nice.
Hear that, Mr. Cosby? We know Keshia graduated from Spelman with a degree in sociology. But… “Isn’t it a sign of something when she’s got her dress all the way up to the crack?”
