A reader asks:

After the excitement of seeing lines longer than 4 years ago at my polling place, P.S. 175 in Central Harlem.. I was concerned to find that none of the 4 voter machines were able to process ballots… All had Out of Order signs like this one.

Harlem and New York will go “blue” but is this happening elsewhere?

What happens in that situation? Do they still let you vote?

My guess is that the lines just slow down to a crawl, or they let folks file provisionally.
