Friday Random Ten: We Used to Love H.E.R.

I remember the exact day that I met this girl and fell in love with her. She was an original, pure, untampered and down sister.

Boy, I tell ya, I miss her.

The story goes like this: we used to hang out, I would see her around the way, then she started messing around with other cats and then I got really judgmental about the choices she made. I saw niggas slamming her and taking her to the sewer but I took her back because I’m self-righteous like that.

I’m talking about hip-hop, y’all. Didn’t you know?

Enough about me. I think we all knew someone licentious like that. So I asked my blogmates to come up with a list of songs that reminded me of their long-lost, triflin-ass first love:
