Talking Treme.

We’re going to try to give Treme, the new HBO series by David Simon set in post-Katrina New Orleans, the same weekly recap treatment we gave to The Wire and that we give to Mad Men and Lost. (But apparently part of the ethos of postbourgiedom is not having HBO.)

We hope to have the first episode recap up soon, but you should check out The American Prospect‘s roundtable of the show, featuring our very own Joel Anderson (blackink12), who used to be a reporter down in Shreveport.

  • So is there a way to watch it that doesn’t involve actually getting HBO?

    • lips is sealed/’cuz we don’t need no controversy.

      (perhaps.)

  • I’ll be curious to see how Nola natives, or Nola researchers (Leigh-I’m look at you) evaluate the show.

    • yeah. i always wanted to get Stacia’s opinion on The Wire as a B-More native.

Well I def fit in here because I don’t have HBO either. I figure I’m going to have to wait for Treme on dvd since I heard HBO isn’t on Hulu.

HBO is one of the few things I *do* have surprisingly. Our electricity and internet may come and go here but HBO, Showtime and Starz are part of basic cable. Go figure.

I’m still waiting for the top secret info on how to watch this show sans HBO. GD, I’ve tried emailing you twice (to your gmail account) and it keeps bouncing back.
