Podcast #3: Civics Class is a Year-Long ‘America, F#@K Yeah!’

Did you miss us? Of course you did.

PostBourgie: The Podcast, Episode 3: “Civics Class is a Year-Long ‘America, F#@K YEAH!'”

Monica, blackink, Jamelle and I discuss Obama’s interminable bipartisan healthcare summit, the race-based fearmongering from anti-choicers, and the David Paterson bombshell (note, we recorded this before he dropped out of the governor’s race). Apologies for the length, but we had to leave in a digression about the latest Black Women, You’re Doing It Wrong piece, this time in The Washington Post.

change the batteries in that smoke alarm! other than that, i love your podcast. keep it coming.

    • LOL! I knew that beep sounded familiar!

Love the podcast. Not sure who belonged to which voices yet but I especially liked the HCR conversation and the point that was made about bipartisanship vs. just getting shit done. Also, kudos to whoever it was that made the point about environment being a primary driver for our romantic relationships.

It was just changed! I don’t know why it keeps beeping, or what to do about it. My only option is to take the battery out, but that freaks me out. Anyway, I’ve gotten used to it.

  • Love this podcast, keep it up. I never listen to podcasts with folks just talking but this is great to hear on the train into work. I especially liked this one because all three issues were things I wanted to hear SMART people talk about – HCR, anti-choice scare tactics (thanks all for using “anti-choice” and not “pro-life” as well), and Paterson.

I literally laughed out loud on the street at one point so congrats on making me look like just another crazy NY’er.
