Random Midday Hotness: Lovely, Love My Family.

Yeah, a little Roots’ heavy this week. But my oral surgery meant that I missed the second annual Roots Picnic in Philly on Saturday, so this is me making up for it.)

The above is the Legendary on YoGabbaGabba, doing it for the babies and having a lot of fun in the process. (This song’s finna be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Can you imagine if you had kids and they heard it? They’d almost certainly drive you to break shit.)

  • This is one of my daughter’s favorite shows (she’s three). I actually find myself bopping to a lot of the music on the show. On a couple of occasions I have even been compelled to get up and dance as the show often demands you to do. But I must warn the uninitiated parents out there. Commit to interacting with Gabba with extreme precaution as this show is relentless with its activity-inspired songs. The show sadistically goes from a song about wiggling to a song about hopping with nary a moment to catch your breath in between. The celebrity cameos are great though. I love how celebrities randomly drop in with little fanfare.

Oh and yeah, that song does get in your head. Unfortunately, they all do. There have been times when I’ve been working out or playing ball and found myself humming a tune about not biting your friends or nasty ugly germs that will make you sick!!!

    aww this is sweet

but the song that’s actually stuck in my head (from visiting my auntie and her 4 year old this past inauguration) is: There’s a party in my tummy! So yummy so yummy!
