I know this is probably in poor taste, but I couldn’t help but wonder if Brown yelled, “I’m Rick James …..” when and if he did it.

Scott: you’re right- that was in poor taste.

  • come on, scott.

  • At first I was upset. Disappointed really. “Come on Chris, your dimples and abs made you think you were better than that” – was how my thoughts ran.

Because I don’t know anything about the situation and I really don’t know anything about their relationship and mental capabilities, I’ll leave others to speculate about what happened and why.
Now I am genuinely curious what the fallout will be for their careers. I assumed that his career would suffer most. But trolling various websites and blogs and the story that seems to be catching on is that he was just so young, she was too mature, she probably most definitely got in his face, threw the first punches, and he was just acting in self defense. Needless to say people are promising their undying love and monetary support.

What’s really sad is that everyone prefaces these comments with “it’s never right to hit a woman, but…”

Prediction: Chris will lose some endorsement deals, but his fanbase will remain in tact.

    screw you, scott.

Kjen — that was my facebook status last night. I’m sick to death with folks saying “I’d never hit a woman but…” and then finishing with either she got in his face or she started it and so she had it coming.

I’m sure a lot of this is an image thing. She has the ‘good girl gone bad’ image and he has the ‘good guy’ image. I’m just surprised people have bought into it wholesale, considering that we know industry images are almost always facades.

Scott — you can do much better than that. That was awful.

yeah, it’s such an awful situation, but it gave me the perfect opportunity to have a great discussion with my teenage sister.
