Slumming After 'The Wire.'

If seeing Michael on 90210 wasn’t heartbreaking enough, now we have a whole glut of Wire alumni popping up in some crappy-looking projects in the next few months.

In 12 Rounds, Tommy Carcetti is one of those bad guys who can’t just shoot the protagonist, but instead has to lock the hero in a _____ which he has to _____ in ____ seconds/minutes/hours or a loved one will die.

Not to be outdone, your boy Stringer Bell is appearing in the imaginatively titled Obsessed (opposite Beyonce!) in a movie about…well, the trailer tells you the whole damn movie, anyway.

Um, I have a good feeling we’ll be blogging about that second one when it drops.

why they got carcetti looking like a bootleg ed norton?
12 rounds looks like it needs to go straight to spike tv.

That’s sad. I just rewatched (the extremely slept-on mini-series that never got the respect it deserved) The Corner last week. I’d forgotten how many Wire actors popped up there first.

Don’t forget Lt. Daniels on Lost.

Dookie, Randy, and Namond need work though.
