Besides Obama signing executive orders that Gitmo close within the next year, the Senate passed the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which Obama has promised to sign. (Some background on the legislation here.)
Also, repealing the “global gag rule” seems to be on the agenda for the next few days. That’s about as good a start as anyone could expect.
