Taking Bets…

Update: Rakia totally wins. McCain dialed back the MyFriendsOmeter to one.

On tonight’s debate. Let us know what you think will or will not happen tonight, and we’ll add it to the list. I’ll start:

  1. John McCain will not bring up Bill Ayers. (shani-o)
  2. If McCain does mention Ayers, Obama will respond that he was 8 years old when the Weathermen were active, and will bring up Charles Keating. (quadmoniker / ladyfresshh)
  3. John McCain will say “My friends” exactly one time. (rakia)
  4. McCain will finally, finally, say the words “middle class.” Grudgingly, though. (shani-o)
  5. McCain will (probably) rein in the wandering around on stage. But hopefully not. (verdeluz)
  6. Both candidates will bore us and/or not say anything substantive, and piss us off. But then we’ll remember they’re politicians. (ladyfresshh)
  7. McCain will bring up Wright. (Knockout Ed, who apparently missed this post)

John McCain will say “My friends” exactly one time.

I imagine that he’ll rein in the wandering a bit.

But I kind of wish he wouldn’t.

  • Considering they’ll be sitting down at a table, the mental image of McCain getting up and wandering around makes me laugh. I’m adding it.

  • McCain will bring up Rev. Wright

i wish there was a bingo for this one (i played palin bingo for the vp debate)

i think John will allude to ayers. I thing obama will brush it off and a keating 5 mention will begin

i think we will all be bored until then and pissed if they dont say something substantive and get off the bullshit and then we will remember they are politicians and got back to work in the morning

  • McCain will find a new way to dismiss Obama’s presence a la “no eye contact” in debate #1 and “that one” in the town hall.

  • rakia

Let the record show that I was right about McCain saying “my friends” just once. (It was during his closing if you missed it.)

  • rakia: huh. of all the bets here, I thought that one was the one was the most likely to be wrong. hmmm.

Um. I’m gonna take that as a compliment, G.D.
