Ouch.

Douthat, who was as big a Palin supporter as anyone, calls Palin’s showing last night “painful“.

But hey, maybe it’s all just effing brilliant rope-a-dope for the Biden debate ….

Yeah, except…no.

I can forgive Douthat’s poor judgement because Douthat isn’t running for president. But McCain should be run out of Washington for placing Palin a breath away from the presidency. If you want to play games, buy a Wii.

I don’t know how anyone in their right minds can really believe Palin is qualified for the national stage after watching her interviews. Despite all her cramming to get up to speed on critical issues, she clearly does not know what the hell she’s talking about. She gives beauty pageant answers to EVERY QUESTION, and with a crinkle of her nose to try to seem charming and relatable.

I wouldn’t vote Palin vice president of the American Kennel Club, let alone vice president of the United States. And considering that McCain has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel, this chick could very well be our president. *chill runs up spine* That would be a total and absolute embarrassment.

    Terrifying.
